The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) houses a vast array of major and minor programs of study designed to prepare students for a host of careers. Based on an innovative liberal arts foundation, each of our over thirty majors provides individualized and inquiry-based learning, flexible approaches to study, internships and collaborative faculty-student mentoring.
We know that you have options in your professional life and that you will explore multiple paths. A degree in the CAS does not prepare you for one just one job, but empowers you to pursue many careers.

The mission of the College of Arts and Sciences is to support the general and specialized core curricular needs of the University at large, as well as to field a select number of academic majors and professional programs in its own right. The College bears the primary responsibility for developing in students a reasoned sense of personal and professional responsibility and an abiding curiosity about our world and our place in it.
