Liberal Arts Programs
Maryville Design & Visual Art students have access to rigorous career focused curriculum and an extensive alumni and professional network. All B.F.A. programs include an internship requirement, capstone experience, senior exhibit, and senior / portfolio seminar. These advanced experiences target professional development skills and high caliber work that firms, organizations, galleries, and graduate schools are looking for.
As a requirement for all B.F.A. degrees, 100% of Maryville Design & Visual Art B.F.A. graduates have completed an internship. We continually cultivate and maintain relationships throughout the region’s art and design communities and beyond to ensure that internship experiences are tailored to meet our students’ interests, and assist them in building valuable experience.
Students have been hosted as interns at hundreds of regional and national businesses, organizations, and firms giving them a competitive edge and often leading to full-time job placements.
