Maryville University is committed to making a top-ranked, private education affordable and accessible. Last year, over $65 million in financial aid was distributed to full time traditional, undergraduates last year. 98% of our full-time, traditional undergraduate students receive aid. Both merit-based and need-based assistance is available as part of the schools scholarship program.

There are many scholarships sponsored by companies, fraternal organizations, churches, professional groups and employment affiliates. Spend some time researching potential funding sources through links in the Financial Aid menu or direct access at:

Freshman Scholarships

The scholarship amounts are subject to change. Students who apply for admission as a first-time, full-time on campus freshman and meet the stated requirements for the automatic scholarships will be awarded the appropriate scholarship. To be considered for the Freshman Competitive Scholarships students must apply for admission as a first-time, full-time on campus freshman. GPA is cumulative and calculated based on a 4.0 scale. We do not use the writing section of the ACT and SAT when considering scholarships.

**Students must be admitted to one of the Design & Visual Art programs and submit a portfolio for review. Students exhibiting outstanding artistic talent and meeting the minimum requirements for the Design & Visual Art scholarship will be considered for the scholarship.

Transfer Scholarships

The scholarship amounts are subject to change. Transfer applicants who apply for admission as a full-time on campus transfer and meet the stated requirements for the automatic scholarships will be awarded the appropriate scholarship. GPA is cumulative and calculated based on a 4.0 scale.
