How to Apply

Registration will open at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 28th

Step 1: Review the projects available below.
Step 2: Choose a project or two you would be interested in volunteering for. It is always good to have a backup in case your project fills up.
Step 3: Click on the project you would like to register for. You will find the application at the bottom of the project’s page.
Step 4: Once you complete the application, you will receive a confirmation email. Read over the email and note and important information.
Step 5: Fill out the required 2024 Travel Waiver & Hold Harmless Agreement at https://getinvolvedmu.maryville.edu/submitter/form/start/637524. This is REQUIRED for all participants.

Ride On St. Louis: Sunshine & ServiceVolunteers will help with vacuuming, washing, and cleaning our horse trailer’s interior and wheels, as well as washing and waxing the trailer’s top, bottom, and sides to protect it and keep it in excellent condition. Around the barn, volunteers help with chores such as weeding garden beds and washing fencing to maintain a neat and secure property. They also assist with general barn duties like organizing supplies, sweeping aisles, and tidying tack rooms. 09:30-13:300/15
Saint Louis Crisis Nursery-Saint CharlesVolunteers will assist with yard/garden/playground clean-up, sorting and organizing donations, light housework, and projects. 09:30-11:300/5
Seed St. Louis: Community GardenVolunteers will help with fall maintenance in the garden which could include harvesting, planting, weeding, mulching, mowing, watering, and general gardening and landscape maintenance. House of Living Stone Community Garden is a raised bed garden located on a hill area behind First Baptist Church of Webster Groves. There are 21 beds used for vegetable growing, fruit trees and ornamental trees for beautification, and several perennial beds. 09:30-12:300/15
SEPTEMBER 20, 2025 Pedal the Cause: Gala Serving**DATE: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2025** Volunteers will be serving top area restaurant dishes to participants and guests, and ensuring all areas are clean and debris-free. It involves active standing for long periods and wearing gloves and a mask. Dinner for volunteers is included.15:00-19:000/100
SEPTEMBER 20,2025 Pedal the Cause: Pancake Breakfast**THIS PROJECT IS SEPTEMBER 20, 2025 NOT MRO DAY** Volunteers will be serving pancakes & Fitz root beer floats to participants and guests and ensuring all areas are clean and debris-free. It may involve active standing for periods and wearing gloves and a mask. Includes breakfast for volunteers.08:00-12:000/20
SEPTEMBER 21, 2025 Pedal the Cause: Celebration Lunch**NOT ON MRO DAY: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2025** Volunteers will help serve top local BBQ to participants and guests during our post-ride Celebration Lunch. Volunteers will assist with food service, maintain clean and organized serving areas, and ensure tables remain free of debris. This role involves active standing for extended periods and requires wearing gloves and while serving. This is a great opportunity to engage with a wide range of guests, including many corporate team members and supporters. A volunteer t-shirt and lunch are provided.11:00-15:000/45
SEPTEMBER 21, 2025 Pedal the Cause: Couse Marshals**NOT ON MRO DAY: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2025** Volunteers will help keep riders safe and on course by managing intersections and assisting with turns. You’ll cheer on participants; direct traffic as needed and offer support along the route. This role may involve standing for extended periods and interacting with riders or community members. SEPTEMBER 27, 2025: Home Sweet Home: Trivia NightVolunteers will be helping at our 2025 trivia night ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH. We will have you running score cards to and from tables, helping with set up and tear down, and helping with other volunteer tasks. You don't need any special skills for this project. We will provide dinner while you are volunteering.15:30-21:300/18
Shaw Nature Reserve: Native Seed Collection #1Volunteers will work alongside ecological restoration team members to collect native seeds across the campus of Shaw Nature Reserve. Collecting seeds from native plants is critical to ensure staff can restore the property to Missouri native flora.09:30-12:000/10
Shaw Nature Reserve: Native Seed Collection #2Volunteers will spend a portion of their day collecting native seed that is used for onsite restoration activities. There will be an introduction upon arrival, followed by a hike to areas with specific native species. Buckets and scissors will be provided. Included in the volunteer opportunity will be a discussion of the restoration activities that occur at Shaw Nature Reserve. Plus, volunteers will have a chance to meet a restoration technician, hear their story and how they obtained their current position.09:30-12:300/5
