International Admissions – Transcript Evaluation

All students with education outside the U.S. must submit an official course-by-course transcript evaluation with GPA calculation.

Canadian secondary schools are the only exception and can send official transcripts directly to Maryville.

Maryville requires that students get an evaluation from a NACES-member evaluation company (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, www.naces.org). Maryville’s preferred evaluation companies are SpanTran and International Education Evaluation (IEE).

Note: students transferring into the Fast Track Nursing program must get a transcript evaluation through CGFNS International, Inc.

  • Students who have not yet completed secondary school, should complete an in-progress, course-by-course transcript evaluation. Upon graduation from secondary school, you will provide your official diploma and final transcripts directly to Maryville.
  • Students who have completed less than 30 credit hours of post-secondary education outside the U.S., should have their secondary school transcripts and post-secondary school transcripts evaluated. Once you are finished with your post-secondary courses, the university requires another, updated transcript evaluation to determine how your credits transfer to Maryville.
  • Transfer or Graduate applicants should submit any and all post-secondary transcripts from outside the U.S. to the evaluation company to be evaluated. Transcripts with credit earned in the U.S. should be sent directly to Maryville from the institution.
