State Authorization Status:


As of June 1, 2015, Maryville University is a member institution of the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA). SARA is an agreement among member states, districts and territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate postsecondary distance education and allows reciprocity facilitating the enrollment of students in online courses offered by SARA member institutions. AMERICAN SAMOA
Maryville has submitted several regulatory compliance inquiries to the state but a response is still pending. Current and prospective students pursuing programs leading to licensure or professional certification are encouraged and responsible for verifying with their intended state of residence or practice that our program meets licensure/certification requirements prior to enrolling.

CALIFORNIA
As a non-profit institution without a physical presence in the state, Maryville University is exempt from registration/authorization from the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). Current and prospective students pursuing programs leading to licensure or professional certification are encouraged and responsible for verifying with their intended state of residence or practice that our program meets licensure/certification requirements prior to enrolling.

GUAM
Maryville University does not have a physical presence in Guam. Therefore, Authorization is not required by the Guam Council on Post-secondary Institution Certification. Current and prospective students pursuing programs leading to licensure or professional certification are encouraged and responsible for verifying with their intended state of residence or practice that our program meets licensure/certification requirements prior to enrolling.

NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS
