How to Apply

Registration will open at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 28th

Step 1: Review the projects available below.
Step 2: Choose a project or two you would be interested in volunteering for. It is always good to have a backup in case your project fills up.
Step 3: Click on the project you would like to register for. You will find the application at the bottom of the project’s page.
Step 4: Once you complete the application, you will receive a confirmation email. Read over the email and note and important information.
Step 5: Fill out the required 2025 Travel Waiver & Hold Harmless Agreement at https://getinvolvedmu.maryville.edu/submitter/form/start/637524. This is REQUIRED for all participants.

St. Louis County Pet Adoption Center: Doggie EnrichmentVolunteers will help to make enrichment items for animals to play with or eat, they will help to socialize the puppies that are currently housed at the Shelter, and it will be wrapped up with a Pack Walk where the group will take dogs out on a guided walk at a park that is adjacent to the shelter. The group will spend approximately three hours providing essential enrichment to the animals and will be well rewarded with licks, cuddles and lots of tail wags.10:00-13:00Elyse Waterhouse12/12

STL Neighborhood Foresters: Inventory & PlantingVolunteers will meet up at the Hebert Street Community Garden in Old North St. Louis and work on mulching, weeding and watering street trees in the surrounding area. Volunteers will make a lasting environmental and community impact, while also learning about tree care. All are welcome to attend! String Theory: Hidden HeartsVolunteers will be crocheting little hearts with kind notes to place around the Maryville campus. TASK: Clean-up & Next Steps VolunteeringVolunteers will go around our campus to help clean up after our summer camps and get ready for upcoming programs. The Freedom School: Donation SortA few volunteers will bring items from storage to sort through, others will take those items to staged spaces at my direction, others will distribute the sorted items from the staging area to the locations in which they must be taken. The Haven of Grace: Project CompassionVolunteers will help beautify and maintain the outdoor healing garden and Quad exterior space at The Haven of Grace. Weather permitting, tasks will include pulling weeds, trimming trees, painting outdoor furniture, sweeping, cleaning up common areas, and painting exterior doors.
