ORIENTATION

The International Student Orientation will be on-campus and in-person for all NEW International Students.

JOIN US!

for Orientation Days: Monday, August 16 – Sunday, August 22.

International Student Orientation is designed to help you adjust to academic and social life at Maryville and comply with government regulations pertaining to your F-1 immigration status.
You’ll have opportunities for:

  • SEVIS check-in and immigration training
  • Learning on and off campus resources and support
  • Setting up your Saints ID
  • Navigating the physical and virtual environment at Maryville
  • Making adjustments to your schedule
  • Becoming comfortable with the U.S. culture
  • Obtaining essential items you might need week one
  • Meeting new people and making friends from around the world

Detailed orientation schedule per academic level:

ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS (Graduate and Undergraduate, First-Years and Transfers)

You will participate in International Orientation, Monday, August 16. This day will focus on important topics specifically related to you as an international student.

IF YOU ARE AN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT (First-Year or Transfer)

You will further continue on to participate in Undergraduate International Orientation, Tuesday, August 17 - Wednesday, August 18. These days will further focus on academics, health and wellness, and campus resources.

IF YOU ARE A FIRST-YEAR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT:

You will further continue on to participate in First-Year Orientation on Saturday and Sunday, August 21 and 22.

IF YOU ARE A TRANSFER STUDENT:

You will join us for one of the Transfer Orientation options.
