How to Apply
Registration will open at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 28th
Step 1: Review the projects available below.
Step 2: Choose a project or two you would be interested in volunteering for. It is always good to have a backup in case your project fills up.
Step 3: Click on the project you would like to register for. You will find the application at the bottom of the project’s page.
Step 4: Once you complete the application, you will receive a confirmation email. Read over the email and note and important information.
Step 5: Fill out the required 2025 Travel Waiver & Hold Harmless Agreement at https://getinvolvedmu.maryville.edu/submitter/form/start/637524. This is REQUIRED for all participants.

| Franklin County Humane Society: Volunteer Day | Volunteers can support our animals by taking dogs on long walks or filling KONG toys to be used for dog enrichment. For those who love cats, spending time brushing, playing with, and comforting our shy feline friends helps them feel more relaxed and socialized. Outdoor activities include weeding, cleaning play yards, raking leaves, and clearing debris from the catch basin that collects street runoff. Additionally, volunteers can assist with organizing and inventorying donated supplies or help assemble basic care kits for our Doggy Day Out program. | 09:00-14:00 | Liz Vermillon | 15/15 |
| Gateway Pet Guardians: Animal Shelter Assistants | Volunteers will be assisting with various aspects of running an animal shelter. Volunteer duties include cleaning, laundry, sorting and stocking donations and pet food and supplies, walking dogs and snuggling cats along with other tasks that might pop up in our ever changing, fast paced world of animal rescue. | 09:30-12:30 | Lesa Barchet | 20/20 |
| Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri | Volunteers will be assisting the Daisy Drop Box and Brownie Bundle Program Managers by creating SWAPS (stands for Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere) SWAPS are small, handmade keepsakes that Girl Scouts exchange with each other as a way to make new friends and create lasting memories. These SWAPS will go in troop meeting boxes that get shipped out to Daisy and Brownie troop leaders.
