Maryville University signed and returned the Certificate of Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act , and assures that no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act is used to provide emergency financial aid grants to students.

Maryville University received $ 1,572, 049 from the Department of Education, pursuant to the institution’s Agreement for emergency financial aid grants to students.

The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under §18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act:

  • As of 6/3/2020:  $1,062,100
  • As of 7/17/2020:  $1,119,600
  • As of 9/1/2020:  $1,142,000
  • As of 10/02/20: $1,572,049

The estimated number of students at the institution eligible to participate in programs under §484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive emergency financial aid grants under §18004(a)(1) of the Cares Act is 3,354.
