At the undergraduate level, students are required to observe 25 clock hours of speech-language therapy. These hours may occur in one of two settings on the Maryville campus, including the Walker Scottish Rite Clinic . A second clinical observation experience is also required of undergraduates. During this course, each undergraduate student is assigned one case to follow in-depth throughout the semester. Activities include session observation and question/answer time with the treating clinician or supervisor. Treatment techniques, material selection, and client response to the treatment may all be discussed.
