Reading time: Less than a minute
Registration is now open for the 8th annual Maryville Reaches Out (MRO) campus-wide community service day, which takes place on Tuesday, Sept. 22. More than 1,200 Maryville volunteers are expected to fan out across the greater St. Louis area to share time and talents with 90 local agencies and organizations.
Volunteer slots are filling quickly, so register now! Visit the Maryville Reaches Out project list for more information on specific volunteer opportunities.
On MRO Day, classes beginning before 4 p.m. are cancelled so the entire campus community is able to participate. Maryville Reaches Out engages Maryville students, faculty, staff and alumni in a wide variety of service opportunities, including painting, landscaping, arts and crafts with children and adults, tutoring and reading with children, animal shelter work, sorting donated goods, office assistance, accompanying elderly residents on a zoo outing, light construction and much more.
