Winter Activities from Home

Maryville University’s Office of Alumni Services is excited to share some winter activities that can be completed from the comfort of your home — and are guaranteed to beat the cold-weather blues.

Maryville Cooks
During this holiday season, many families are looking for new ways to celebrate during the pandemic — such as adding new recipes to time-honored family favorites or scheduling virtual feasts with far away family. In this spirit of community, the Alumni Services team has partnered with Fresh Ideas, Maryville’s exclusive dining partner, to launch a new series called Maryville Cooks. We hope this series will inspire the Maryville community to continue making connections during the holiday season and beyond.

Have a food or drink recipe you’d like to share? Submit your recipe and a photo of the dish by emailing alumni@maryville.edu.

Holiday Coloring
Coloring for adults and kids? Oh yes! Known to reduce stress and anxiety at the same levels as meditation, coloring can turn down the volume on a restless mind. Colored pencils, crayons, markers, highlighters, sharpies — whatever you have on hand will work.

Click here or use the images below to download the coloring pages. You can also download the images to your iPad and open the images in your favorite coloring app like Procreate or Adobe Fresco.

Don’t forget to share your completed artwork with us! Post on social media using #MaryvilleAlumni.
