Nina Caldwell Earns Distinguished Leadership Honor

Maryville University congratulates Nina Caldwell, EdD, vice president for student life, who has been honored as a Distinguished Leader in the Delux Power 100 Awards, an annual recognition sponsored by Delux magazine to celebrate the St. Louis region’s most inspiring and influential African American professionals.

“I am honored to be receiving the Distinguished Leaders Award,” Caldwell says. “It’s a joy and a blessing to serve in the St. Louis Metropolitan community and to build opportunities for our youth who will become our future leaders.”

The magazine website states that Power 100 honorees are “those who lead, inspire, innovate and demonstrate through their individual talents, the very best in St. Louis.” Caldwell is one of just eight individuals recognized as “Distinguished” awardees for exemplary leadership, and for transcending boundaries and achieving progressive levels of professional responsibility.

“We’re pleased that Delux Magazine has recognized what everyone at Maryville University has known for a long time – that Nina Caldwell is a great leader and a powerful example of the very best in education,” said Maryville University President Mark Lombardi, PhD.
