Virtual Graduate Fair

Welcome to the Virtual Graduation Fair

The Virtual Graduation Fair is here to help students complete all necessary preparations for participating in Commencement.

Required Steps

  • Graduation Application

In order to confer your degree, participate in Commencement activities and to receive your diploma, you must apply for graduation. You can apply here.

To be included in the Commencement Program and virtual ceremonies, you must apply for graduation by March 31.
You can still apply after that date, up until the end of May, but you won’t be included in Commencement activities.

  • Regalia

    How to Order
You will order your cap and gown when you apply for graduation. If you missed the link to order, you may order here. Graduates keep their cap, gown and hood, so there is no need to return them after the commencement ceremony.

The deadline to order regalia is March 21.

Your cap, gown and hood (if applicable) will be shipped to the address you enter on the regalia order form.

  • Name Pronunciation

To ensure your name is pronounced correctly in the virtual ceremonies, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to upload the proper pronunciation.

  • Diploma Information

You should have received an email to your Maryville email address with the following information:

    • Diploma Name/ Commencement Name
    • Degree and Major
    • Diploma Address (address to which your diploma will be sent)

Use the link in the email to verify the information above. If you have not received the email by March 1, use this link to look up and verify your information. Email graduation@maryville.edu with further questions.

Diplomas are typically shipped three to four weeks after the end of the semester.

When you graduate, you can choose to receive a digital version of your diploma in addition to the physical diploma which is sent via mail. The digital diploma is sent as an email attachment and is added to a mobile wallet app on your mobile device(s). It is coded and certifiable using Blockchain technology, which is used to both protect and verify your diploma. To learn more, visit the Digital Diploma page.

  • Graduation Photos

Lifetouch Photography will be on campus April 8-9 and 12-13 to take photos of graduates in their regalia. The photos will be available for purchase, but not required. Schedule your photo appointment here.

It’s important to sign up for a photo appointment whether you plan to purchase the images or not.
The photos taken on campus will be used in the virtual Commencement ceremonies. Please bring your regalia to the appointment. If you’re regalia has not arrived yet, please wear professional attire.

If you can’t join us for one of the on-campus photo shoots, you’ll receive an email to upload an image of yourself to be used in the virtual ceremonies. The last day to submit a photo that will be included in the ceremonies is April 12.

Suggested Steps

  • Graduation Announcements

Graduate announcements are available online here. Jostens offers a variety of packages. You can order personalized announcements through Jostens or non-personalized announcements through the M Store.

  • Personalized Virtual Celebration Page

Since we can’t gather in person to celebrate your achievements, we have created a virtual graduation page to help you celebrate. On May 1, you’ll receive a personalized link to your virtual graduation celebration page. This website will include the recording of your live ceremony or on-demand ceremony, as well as photos, videos and messages from family, friends, Maryville faculty and staff celebrating you. You can share the website on social media and also download it to save as a memento for years to come.

On April 5, you’ll receive an email with a link to share with your family and friends, so they can upload messages, photos and videos to celebrate your accomplishment.

  • Class Ring/Jewelry

A large selection of traditional and customized class rings can be ordered here.

  • Graduation Gifts

Diploma frames can be purchased here.

We have everything you need to celebrate virtually with family and friends. A variety of gifts and celebration merchandise are available at the on-campus M Store and online at the M Store.

  • Career Success Survey

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! As you transition to your first role after your degree or continue in a current role, we hope you know that Maryville will always be a resource for your career needs. If you are in the search process, there will be an opportunity in this survey to request to meet online, on the phone, or in-person with Career Success.

Please take a few moments to complete the Career First Destination Survey about your post-graduation plans. Summaries of the results are used for accreditation and federal and state compliance. Knowing how our graduates are doing post-graduation both ensures the future value and integrity of your degree as well as helps other students make decisions about their educational and career plans.

You can access the survey here.

  • 2021 Class Gifts

    What is the Class Gift?

Each graduate can celebrate their success and personal Maryville experience with a class gift. A gift of $20 or more is recognized with an alumni shirt and brick inscribed with the graduate’s name, degree and major in the Graduate Walkway on campus. To learn more and/or make a gift, please visit the Class Gift page.

  • Maryville Grads Give Back

Maryville Grads Give Back is an invitation to reach out to your community through service (virtual or otherwise) before you go forth as the Class of 2021 and receive a terrific t-shirt for your efforts! There are multiple ways to be a part of Maryville Grads Give Back. You may participate in one of the community service projects organized through the Office of Service & Spiritual Life and the Community Service Club. You and your fellow grads can also come up with your own project or volunteer through a campus organization. Perhaps you are volunteering already.

If you plan to participate in a way other than through the Office of Service & Spiritual Life and the Community Service Club, please send photos of yourself volunteering and the name of the organization with which you volunteered via email to Steve DiSalvo no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 30, 2021. Include your t-shirt size so that arrangements can be made for you to get your shirt.

For more information, contact Steve DiSalvo at 314-529-9521 or sdisalvo@maryville.edu.
