U.S. News & World Report Endorses Maryville

U.S. News and World Report has gained the confidence of parents and families in the United States for knowing quality institutions of higher learning. Each year it ranks the top schools by region, based on 11 categories.

In the most recent rankings, released August 17, Maryville University is ranked number 29 among private universities in the Midwest. As a Top 30 school in the Midwest, Maryville University is one of the highest ranked universities in the master’s category in the St. Louis region.

In comparing the ranking from the previous year, Maryville saw its total score rise as its positive reputation and retention rate both increased. Maryville is one of just six universities from Missouri to be listed among the best 50 universities in the Midwest.

Maryville University, founded in 1872, is a four-year, private, comprehensive university in suburban St. Louis. Maryville offers academic degree programs, including degrees at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels. Of its recent graduates, 94 percent are employed or attending graduate school. Maryville is also the provider of the prestigious Maryville University St. Louis Speakers Series.
