Multicultural Scholars Program

The Multicultural Scholars Program was started in 2009 to recognize students with exceptional leadership qualities and a commitment to diversity and social justice. Five students are accepted to the program each year after completing a rigorous selection process for this competitive scholarship. The scholarship is renewable for up to eight consecutive semesters and can only be applied to tuition.

The following requirements must be met by each scholarship recipient:

  • Remain in good standing (academic and conduct)
  • Participate in the Keith Lovin Institute for Leadership seminars and conferences as follows:
    1. Freshman: Attend 3 seminars per semester
    2. Sophomore/Junior: Attend the Leader’s Retreat in fall and the Summit on Leadership Development (SOLD) in spring
    3. Senior: Attend the Summit on Leadership Development in spring
  • Attend monthly meetings with Multicultural Scholars and the Director of Multicultural Programs
    • Attend monthly meetings with Multicultural Scholars and the Director of Multicultural Programs
  • Assist Office of Multicultural Programs and Admissions Office with programs and events as needed
