Graduate Academic Progress
I. Satisfactory Progress
A graduate student who maintains a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale at the end of each academic semester has maintained satisfactory institutional academic progress. It should be noted that the grade of D is unacceptable and the individual programs have limitations as to the number of credits that may be earned at C level work.
Graduate students whose semester grade point average falls below 3.0 will be placed on academic probation for one (1) semester. A student whose semester grade point average does not return to 3.0 or above during the subsequent semester may be asked to leave the program. Before a student can be re-admitted to the program, he or she must show evidence of reasonable expectation of improved academic performance.
II. Time Limitations
A 4-year statute of limitation applies to the completion of the master’s degree in Education; a 5-year statute of limitation applies to the completion of master’s degrees in Business.
