The 1918 Flu And The Great War’s Forgotten Voices
November 1, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The Morton J. May Gallery will open The 1918 Flu and the Great War’s Forgotten Voices exhibit. This gallery and events associated with it are meant to commemorate and explore the historical and cultural impact of the 1918 Flu Pandemic and the ending of the First World War. The entirety of the project has been one of interdisciplinary collaboration between faculty, staff and students.
The exhibit examines the 1918 flu epidemic from a variety of perspectives. Another part of the exhibit is to focus on several under appreciated groups whose contributions have been overlooked by history and who frequently are not part of the sweeping narrative about World War I.
Food and drink will be served.
