Out of an abundance of caution, and in an effort to limit exposure to COVID-19 by Maryville community members and event attendees, all on-campus and off-campus university-sponsored events through May 16, 2020, have been cancelled, moved to a virtual format, or postponed until further notice.

These include:

All Student Organization events through May 16 (Cancelled)
Spring Concert will be rescheduled for next year (Postponed – Date TBD)

Teaching Authenticity: A Panel Discussion

Be yourself. But which part of yourself should you be? What is authenticity, and how does it matter to teaching? How do professors create an authentic classes, authentic learning experiences, and authentic students? Is teaching a performance—or a contrast to performance? And are there paradoxes of authenticity? Featuring respondents Shirley Ashauer, Nadine Ball, Peter Henderson, Jesse Kavadlo, Felix Kwan, Art Santirojprapai, and Rita Wunderlich, and facilitated by Johannes Wich-Schwarz. Open to faculty, staff, students, and the public. Please encourage interested students to attend. Refreshments served. No RSVP needed.
