Gun Shy: Matt Donovan
April 12, 2018 @ 4:00 pmFree
Author Matt Donovan will read excerpts from his book-in-progress Gun Shy, which is a personal journey across the United States, fueled by a desire to understand America’s obsession with firearms. Neither pro nor anti-gun in its stance, Donovan’s work interrogates the complex ways in which guns are feared, championed, and deeply ingrained in our thinking.
The author of a collection of essays as well as two collections of poetry, Donovan is the recipient of a Whiting Award, a Rome Prize in Literature, a Creative Capital Grant, and an NEA Fellowship, among many honors.
