MNEA Honors Maryville Student Club

The Maryville University Education Club recently received numerous accolades from the Missouri chapter of the National Education Association during an MNEA conference held at Lake of the Ozarks.

Twenty-one Maryville Education Club members, all MNEA members, along with club adviser Paul Mack, assistant professor of education at Maryville University, attended the conference. Of the 38 Missouri universities represented at the conference, Maryville received four certificates of appreciation in the following categories: Fresh Start, for revitalizing the campus chapter; largest numerical increase of any state student chapter; Largest Conference Attendance; and Exceptional Adviser Award, won by Mack.of St. Louis.

The Maryville Education Club has 41 active members ranging from freshman through seniors. Members provide community service to the Maryville campus community, and to agencies which serve children in the metro St. Louis area.
