St. Louis—DesignIntelligence – America’s Best Architecture & Design Schools has recognized Maryville University’s interior design program as one of the Top Interior Design Schools in the Midwest in its 2014 issue of America’s Best Architecture and Design Schools.

It is the first time the organization has ranked Maryville.

“This ranking by one of the industry’s definitive and trusted rankings source for design schools is yet another milestone for Maryville University,” said Maryville President Mark Lombardi. “It is a testament to the creativity and skill of our students and the great vision of our faculty. We look forward to continuing to build on this success.”

The Maryville Interior Design program is one of just eight schools ranked in the Midwest – tied at No. 4 with the Universities of Kansas and Minnesota and Kent State. Maryville competed with all universities in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Darlene Davison, director of Maryville’s Interior Design Program, said, “This is what we have been working for.”
