Maryville University Inaugurates President Lombardi

Mark Lombardi, Ph.D., was inaugurated as Maryville University’s 10th president on April 18, 2008. Dr. Lombardi assumed the role of president on July 1, 2007.

Thomas M. Boudreau, chair of the Maryville University Board of Trustees, presided over the formal ceremony. Delegates from more than 20 universities and colleges, community members, and government officials attended the inauguration, along with Maryville former presidents, faculty, staff, students, and alumni.

Lombardi with a comprehensive experience in academe articulated an ambitious agenda for Maryville University that includes new facilities, significant enrollment growth and six Centers for Excellence which will add greater distinction to an already outstanding array of academic programs.
