Maryville Retains Top Tier Ranking in ‘U.S. News’ Survey

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – For the eighth consecutive year, Maryville University has been recognized for excellence by U.S. News & World Report. In the magazine’s “Best Colleges 2011” review. Maryville retains its ranking among the top 30 universities in the Regional Universities – Midwest category.

“This recognition confirms Maryville’s standing among the great universities of the Midwest,” said Mark Lombardi, PhD, president. “Going forward, we will continue to focus on providing high quality education and inspiring graduates to become leaders in both their communities and their chosen fields.”

U.S. News & World Report reviews a number of key indicators in ranking colleges. Academic reputation, commitment to instruction, rates of retention and graduation, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving are among the considerations.
