Maryville Announces New Appointments in Finance Office

[St. Louis, Mo.]—Maryville University has announced the following appointments in the Office of Finance and Facilities:
Steven H. Mandeville, CPA, of Maryville, Ill., has been named vice president. Mandeville, who most recently served as Maryville’s controller for more than three years, joined the University in 2010 as assistant controller. Prior to Maryville, he worked for BKD, LLP, a national CPA and advisory firm, and as treasurer and chairman of the finance committee for the Jack and J.T. Snow Scientific Research Foundation.
Mandeville is currently pursuing his EdD in higher education leadership from Maryville. He earned his master’s in accounting at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and his bachelor’s in business administration at Southeast Missouri State University. Mandeville is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), and the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).
Nikki Payne, CPA, of Creve Coeur, Mo., has been named controller/director of finance. Payne previously served as assistant controller for Maryville for more than three years. Prior to Maryville, she worked more than five years in public accounting at RubinBrown, LLP.
Payne earned her master’s in business administration and bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) and the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).
Kristen Montag, of Kirkwood, Mo., will join the Office of Finance and Facilities as senior accountant, effective June 29. Montag, a 2013 Maryville University graduate, earned her bachelor’s in accounting. She comes to Maryville from BKD LLP, where she served as an associate for nearly two years.
