Event Shines Spotlight On Innovative Academic Programs
1/22/07
About 110 guidance counselors from Illinois and Missouri high schools and community colleges will gather at Maryville University on Friday, Jan. 26, for Unique Courses 6, an event that focuses on unique academic programs offered by Maryville and five other Midwestern colleges.
The event, now in its sixth year, will begin with a luncheon at noon in the Donius University Center atrium. That will be followed by presentations in the University Auditorium. This year, Maryville is highlighting its interactive design and sports management programs. Jon Fahnestock, assistant professor of graphic design and communications, will speak on interactive design and Suzanne Riordan, assistant director of admissions, will discuss the sports management program.
Co-sponsoring Unique Courses 5 with Maryville’s Office of Admissions are Avila University, Columbia College Chicago, Loyola University Chicago, Marquette University and University of Missouri-Rolla.
