Daniel Schmidt

As the program coordinator for the Rawlings Sport Business Management program, I serve as an academic advisor, plan and execute professional development programs for our students, oversee internships, develop and maintain partnerships and take on any projects that come our way. I am a two-time graduate of Maryville University, receiving my BS in sport management in 2010 and my MBA in 2017. My professional experience comes at the hands of the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League where I spent five seasons with the club before returning to Maryville. My areas of expertise are corporate sponsorship and facility operations, both being positions I held while at the Blues. Upon finishing my MBA, I began to teach in the program, starting with the Event and Facility Management course. I am a strong proponent of our Digital World initiative and use applications such as Baiboard, Inspiration Maps, Socrative and Explain Everything in my teaching.
