What Can I Do With a Degree in Interactive Design, Concentration in Game Design?
Game Design is a thriving and growing discipline. From immersive games designed for consoles and desktops to app-based games for mobile devices, video games are increasingly making a positive impact on our culture and economy.
This field primarily serves the video game markets for entertainment and education. Additionally, fields such as advertising, marketing, user experience, information design and eLearning frequently employ designers with game design expertise. The inclusion of graphic and interactive design curriculum also allows for a wider range of career opportunities.

Art & Design students have access to rigorous career-focused curriculum and an extensive alumni and professional network. All BFA programs include a capstone experience, senior exhibit and senior / portfolio seminar. These advanced experiences target professional skills and high caliber work sought by employers, galleries and graduate schools.
BFA students in the Graphic and Interactive Design programs are required to complete a professional internship prior to graduation. We continually cultivate and maintain relationships throughout the St. Louis design community and beyond to ensure that internship experiences are tailored to meet our students’ interests, and assist them in building valuable experience. Our internship program gives Maryville’s Graphic and Interactive Design graduates a competitive edge and often leads to full-time job placements.
