Graphic Design – Careers

What Can I Do With A Graphic Design Degree?

Graphic designers work in a variety of design, marketing and communications fields. Recent Maryville graduates have begun their careers in a variety of firms including those specializing in marketing and advertising, brand strategy, environmental design, corporate communications, as well packaging and retail design.

AIGA Student Chapter

Maryville University has an active and engaged Student AIGA Chapter, the professional association for design. This chapter serves both the Interactive and Graphic Design programs. Students in AIGA have many opportunities to participate in many activities on and off campus targeted toward service, professional networking, portfolio development and learning. Closely linked to the St Louis Professional AIGA Chapter, students also have access to exciting local events, such as the AIGA St. Louis Student Conference and St Louis Design Week.

Extensive Alumni Network

With such well-regarded and long-standing programs, Maryville design students also enjoy access to an extensive and supportive alumni network of design professionals. We have countless graduates employed and thriving at leading design firms both regionally and nationally.
