Jewelry and small metal sculptures will be the featured media in the exhibit of two Maryville University seniors graduating with a bachelor of fine arts degree. The exhibit “Embrace” opens March 27 and runs through April 4 in the Morton J. May Foundation Gallery, located within the University Library building.

“We titled our show ‘Embrace’ because we feel our metal pieces represent some sort of holding, capturing, containing or embracing,” said one of the artists, Wendy Bader of St. Charles. The other artist is Cassandra Porlier, also of St. Charles. Both Bader and Porlier work in gold, silver, copper, precious and semi-precious stones. The show will consist of wearable and non-wearable work.

A reception for the artists will be held from 6-8 p.m., March 29. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. – 10 p.m., Monday – Thursday; 8 a.m.- 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday.
