2/4/09

Maryville University friends and alumni will gather for the first annual Maryville Day at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Fla., on Sunday, March 8. Held in conjunction with the St. Louis Cardinals spring training game against the Florida Marlins, the event also features a pre-game lunch and guest speaker from the Cardinals organization.

“Chances are, if you attended Maryville, you’re a Cardinals fan,” said Tom Eschen, vice president of institutional advancement. “What better way to rekindle Maryville friendships and make new connections than while watching the Cardinals warm up for a winning season?”

Maryville Day is expected to attract alumni and friends who live in Florida, as well as fans from the St. Louis region and elsewhere who plan to visit Florida during spring training.

The event is $40 per person and includes game ticket, plus a pre-game lunch with a special guest from the St. Louis Cardinals. Game time is 1:05 p.m. Gates open at 11:30 a.m.; lunch will be served at noon.
