The new Maryville Meal Plan will operate as a "declining balance" system through the existing Maryville One Card system. Funds are placed onto a Maryville One Card. Funds are subtracted off the balance of a Maryville One Card each time a card is used, much like a prepaid debit card. These "declining balance" dollars can be used to purchase any food item(s) in the dining hall or in Kaldi's Coffee Shop located in the University Library Atrium. As needed, additional "declining balance" funds may be added online by parents or students, or they can be purchased through the Student Service Center. Spending levels and available funds can be monitored at all times. Any "declining balance" dollars left over from the Fall semester will automatically roll over to the Spring semester. All funds, however, must be used by the end of the spring semester because they do not roll over from one academic year to the next. If they are not used, they are cleared off the Maryville One Card before the next Fall semester.
