The Donius University Center will see some
improvements this summer as the Quiet Lounge is permanently remodeled to
better serve Maryville University students. With the number of
student organizations continuing to
increase, the Donius University Center will house the
Center for Student Engagement
that will serve as a resource, work and lounge area for involved students
and their organizations.
Featuring individual, small and large group work areas, as well as some
general use computers and a TV viewing area, what was previously the Quiet
Lounge will now host much activity and collaboration. In addition, the
offices of Student Involvement and
Multicultural Programs will move
into what is currently DUC 108 to enhance the programming and services
produced by those areas. This move will not only allow students quicker
access to the staff in those areas, it will also encourage more
co-programming and partnering between the two areas.
