Where do I go if I’m having problems with a class?
Academic Success Center, Gander Hall, Room 101, which operates the Peer Tutoring
Program.

How and when will I get my grades?
Maryville delivers grades electronically to students online via the Access Maryville system
at http://accessmu.maryville.edu. Students needing a printed grade report for
reimbursement, scholarships, etc. can request an Official Grade Report using the form
available at: http://www.maryville.edu/registrar.

Where can I go to use a computer?
Reid 1337 (30 Pentium PCs and 5 MAC G3 with high-speed printers and scanners)
University Library Information Commons (40 Windows PCs and 5 printers). Limited
color printing is available for a fee. Four laptops are available to use in the Library.
Duchesne Lab is located in the Lobby (7 Pentium PCs, 1 MAC, and a high speed printer)
Mouton Lab is located in the Lobby (4 Pentium PCs, 1 MAC, and a high speed printer)
The Academic Success Center in Gander Hall, Room 101 (5 Pentium PCs – with zoom
text and printers)

Facilities
Where can I send and receive a fax?
The fax number for sending and receiving a fax is 314-529-9982.
The fax machine is located in the Public Safety Office in Duchesne Hall.
Sending a Fax:
Local faxes: Free of charge
Long distance faxes: $1 per page (includes cover sheet)
International: $4 first page (includes cover sheet) and $1 for subsequent pages.
Receiving a Fax:
Notify the Public Safety Office at 314-529-9500 if you are expecting a fax.
Confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.

Where can I make copies?
Copy machines are located in Duchesne Hall Lobby, ABAC second floor, and in the University Library. The copy machines in Duchesne and ABAC are activated by coins or your Maryville University student ID. However, the copy machine in the Library takes change only and a change machine is available. Copies are 10 cents per page. Money can be put on your student ID by using the card center service machine in Duchesne Hall Lobby.

Where can I send and receive mail?
The General Services Department is the receiving point for all U.S. Postal Service mail and other deliveries for the entire campus. General Services is located in Gander Hall, Room 6,
314-529-9323.
Location and Hours:
Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
You may purchase stamps, send mail, ship packages worldwide and receive packages.
Faculty, staff and departmental mailboxes are located on the ground floor of Gander
Hall by General Services.
Mailboxes for residential students are located in Gander Hall, ground floor lobby. Mail
delivery is often before noon (depending on the volume). MAIL IS NOT DELIVERED ON
HOLIDAYS OR WEEKENDS. To ensure proper delivery of mail, please include the
following on all correspondence:

Where can I exercise?
Maryville’s fitness center is located in the John E. and Adaline Simon Athletic
Center.
The fitness center is open to all students, faculty and staff with a current Maryville ID.
The fitness center’s Fall/Spring hours of operation are:
Monday – Thursday 7:00 a.m. – Midnight
Friday 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday 4:00 p.m. – Midnight

How long are buildings open to students during the week and on weekends?
Donius University Center and Simon Center remain open until midnight.
The Buder Family Student Commons is open on a 24-hour basis seven days per week.
Most other University buildings are closed by 10:00 p.m., barring any special events.

What entertainment is available on campus?
There is a game room in the Donius University Center with pool tables, ping-pong, air
hockey, foosball, X-box, PS2, board games, sports equipment and a plasma television.
Movies are available for check-out in both the game room and the University Library.

Where are the lockers located and how can I get one?
Lockers are located on the ground floor of Kernaghan Hall, in the Donius University Center,
between the front entrance and the Quiet Lounge, and in the Auditorium located on the classroom level.
A lock and locker assignment can be obtained in the Public Safety Department located in Duchesne Hall Lobby 314-529-9500.

Is there an ATM on campus?
Yes, the Commerce Bank ATM is located in the Donius University Center between the Campus Café and the University Bookstore.

Where can I cash a check?
Personal checks of up to $25 maximum per day can be cashed in the University Bookstore located in the Donius University Center. Maryville University ID is required.

Where can I get money changed?
Cashier’s Office located in Gander Hall, Room 144.
There is a change machine located in Duchesne Hall Lobby.
Foreign currency cannot be changed.

Can I get an escort?
Public Safety Officers are available anytime to provide an escort to anywhere on
campus 314-529-9500. Call 911 for emergencies.
The blue lights around campus indicate a phone for direct assistance to Public Safety.

What if I lose my Student ID?
Another ID can be made in the Public Safety office, (Duchesne Hall Lobby). The replacement cost is $10.

Areas are indicated on the map that is given to each student who registers a vehicle on
campus.
Guests must sign in at Public Safety for a temporary parking pass located in Duchesne
Hall Lobby, 314-529-9500.

What do I do if I get a traffic citation from Public Safety?
All citations must be paid at the Cashier’s Office.
Appeals must be submitted to the Director of Public Safety within seven (7) business
days of receiving the citation. Appeal cases are heard by a committee comprised of
Maryville students, faculty and administrative staff.

Does Maryville offer career services?
Yes, the Career Education Office provides students and alumni access to internship, full-
time and part-time employment opportunities.
Career counseling is available to those needing to declare a major or learn more about
setting appropriate career goals.
Assistance on resume writing, interview preparation and job search are also available.
Most services are free.

How do I get involved if I don’t live on campus?
There are many opportunities for students who do not reside on campus to get involved!
Check out the What’s Happening at Maryville (WHAM) Calendar that is posted throughout
campus that lists events happening each week.
There is also a monthly calendar posted in the Donius University Center Atrium for
further notice about events.
There are over 200 events sponsored by different student organizations each calendar
year and most events are free to Maryville University students.
