Senate
Department of Campus Life
The Department of Campus Life is made of elected senators and deals with any concerns, complaints, or suggestions that are sent to MSG regarding areas of campus that affect all students. Examples of these areas would include the dining hall, library, etc. We constantly work on the student’s behalf to create a better Maryville experience. The Student Concerns division puts your ideas into action.
Department of Treasury
The Department of the Treasury is responsible for managing and tracking Maryville Student Government’s budget as well as dispersing allocations requested by student organizations. The Treasury discusses funding requests and makes suggestions to the MSG General Board as to which requests to approve and deny. This department is also available to answer any questions regarding budgets and receipts.
House of Representatives
Department of Student Affairs
The Department of Student Affairs is made up of appointed house representatives to represent residential, commuter, diversity and inclusion, international, transfer, athlete and club sport students. Student Affairs deals with any concerns, complaints, or suggestions that are sent to MSG regarding any of the above departments specifically. Our representatives allow us to have direct and constant contact with each of these departments in order to address concerns as efficiently as possible.
Department of Academic Affairs
The Department of Academic Affairs is made up of appointed house representatives to represent each college and school. These include College of Arts & Sciences, Visual Art & Design, College of Health Professions, College of Education, Bascom Honors College, and the John E. Simon School of Business. Academic Affairs deals with any concerns, complaints, or suggestions that are sent to MSG regarding academics. Our representatives allow us to have direct and constant contact with each Dean in order to address concerns as efficiently as possible.
