Speakers for Science Seminar Series Announced

All Michael Johnson seminars are held in Anheuser-Busch Academic Center, Room #3245, from 4-5 p.m. on Wednesdays. Seminars are free and open to the public.

Sept. 21
Gregory Heck, PhD, weed control platform lead at Monsanto Co., will discuss the use of RNA as a tool for agricultural productivity.
Oct. 12
Stacy Donovan, PhD, assistant professor of biology at Maryville University, will present recent research and discuss research opportunities in molecular biology and forensic science at the undergraduate level.
Oct. 19
Bob Merz, zoological manager for invertebrates and director of the Center for American Burying Beetle Conservation at the Saint Louis Zoo, will discuss the reintroduction of the American Burying beetle to Missouri.
Dec. 7
Benjamin Bythell, PhD, assistant professor of bioanalytical/biophysical chemistry at UMSL, will discuss “The Chemistry of Useful Destruction.”
