The Maryville University Department of Athletics has named Ashlee Brockenbrough, ’12, as interim head coach of the Saints volleyball program for the 2016 season. She served on the coaching staff during the 2015 campaign.

“Having been involved as a player, volunteer, and part of the coaching staff last fall, I have a great passion for this program and this current group of student-athletes,” Brockenbrough said. “I feel honored to be serving in this capacity for next year. Additionally, we have a great group of signees who will enter in the fall. I am so energized to get to know them and to welcome them into Saints Nation.”

Former Saints Student-Athlete

Brockenbrough was an All-Great Lakes Valley Conference third team selection after her senior season in 2011. She led the Saints with 316 kills, had 118 and ranked third on the team with 39 blocks. In three seasons with the Saints, Brockenbrough finished her career with 802 kills to rank fourth on the school’s all-time kills chart. She also had the eighth best career hitting percentage in program history.

Brockenbrough coached a local St. Louis CYC volleyball club from 2010-2011, as an assistant for the 18’s age group. She helped both teams earn bids to the Junior National tournament. One year, Brockenbrough’s team placed first in the Gateway Region tournament and earned a second place in another season.

Since graduating in 2012 from Maryville with a BA in English and a minor in communication, Brockenbrough has been employed by the University. Most recently, she served as assistant director of special events and donor relations in Maryville’s Office of Institutional Advancement.
