MSN Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner
This 36 to 45 credit-hour program focuses on primary health care for adults at various states of wellness in selected community settings. Practicum opportunities are offered for the assessment, management, and evaluation of adults with complex and multiple health problems in a primary care setting. Students will be prepared to take the exam for Adult Nurse Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in adult-gerontology nurse practitioner exam. The MSN AGPCNP program is also offered online.
MSN Family Nurse Practitioner
This program provides active nurses for advanced practice positions providing direct care for clients throughout their life. Practicum opportunities are offered in both adult and pediatric will focus on the assessment, management and evaluation of individuals and families under the supervision of an established nurse practitioner and/or physician preceptor. Students will be prepared to take the exam for Family Nurse Practitioner Certification. This MSN FNP program is also offered online.
Courses in education learning theory and philosophy, teaching strategies, and curriculum development are offered along with practicum experiences in a variety of settings. Students, with the facilitation of an expert nurse educator, will design practice opportunities in settings such as patient education, higher education, staff development and community education.
