Craft Fair Benefits Business Scholarship
September 11, 2010
Maryville University's John E. Simon School of Business will host a benefit craft fair on campus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sept. 11-12, in the Monsanto Room of the University Library and the adjacent parking lot . The main campus is located at 650 Maryville University Drive in West St. Louis County.
Booth rental and concession sales will benefit the Max Vogl Jr. Endowed Memorial Scholarship. Vogl was a business student who died in his junior year at Maryville.
"Max was a very active student at Maryville from 2007-2009 and made a lasting impression on all those with whom he made contact," said Megan Over, development director of institutional advancement. "Max's legacy and spirit will live on in perpetuity through the endowed scholarship which has been made possible by generous donations from his family and friends."
The craft fair, which is only one of several fundraising events, will feature a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, fabric art, glass floral designs, vintage accessories and henna tattoos.
