KMOX/BOSS Breakfast Panel - New Media and Social Networking

As part of the KMOX/Business Owners Speakers Series (BOSS) and hosted by Maryville University, a panel of experts will discuss "New Media and Social Networking" on Friday, March 12. Networking breakfast begins at 7 a.m.; question-and-answer session will be held 8-9 a.m. in the University Auditorium.

The program is designed to help business owners communicate effectively with online sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Bebo and Yelp. The panel of experts includes: Michelle Nelson, Back2Basics Marketing; Alan Epstein, Adamson Advertising; and Tim Leon and Miranda Warren, Geile/Leon Marketing & Communications.

About the Panelists
Michelle Nelson is president and chief marketing creator of Back 2 Basics Marketing, LLC. She has spent the past 20 years learning about consumer mindsets and the most effective advertising and marketing methods for reaching them. Nelson has owned Fortune 100 and 500 Marketing companies, including an event company, direct mail company, and ad agency.   She was also founder of the Outdoor Experience Show. Her expertise lies in increasing revenue through direct marketing to new and existing customers, developing key relationships, and creative marketing through web design and collateral materials.

Miranda Warren is director of account services at Geile/Leon Marketing Communications. For the past eight years she has developed and implemented strategic marketing communications plans for a wide variety of clients. She has helped the agency transition into the digital space by developing social media strategies for clients, and educates local marketers and business owners about social media.

Tim Leon, partner at Geile/Leon Marketing Communications, helps clients develop integrated communications plans and brings together all disciplines that Geile/Leon has to offer, including advertising, public relations, sales promotions, direct marketing, internet marketing and development.

Alan Epstein, executive vice president/partner at Adamson Advertising, is a 25-year veteran of the industry. He oversees Adamson's business development and marketing programs, and supervises large consumer and retail accounts. He also has extensive experience in sports marketing, broadcast media, retail, franchise and food service marketing.
