Field Experiences in Schools
Maryville’s School of Education provides more extensive and intensive experiences in schools than just about any other university. This chart summarizes experiences for traditional undergraduates in early childhood, elementary, and middle school education programs. Art and secondary education programs follow the freshman and sophomore experiences (sometimes during junior year) and then the senior experiences (omitting the junior year experiences listed below). Post-baccalaureate certification students follow a somewhat modified schedule. See your specific degree planning sheet for details of your expected experiences in schools.
