Eric DelabarHead CoachEric Delabar begins his 10th season has the head women's soccer coach at Maryville University. He joined the Saints in 1999 and since has led them to a 110-62-7 overall record in nine years. In just his first year at the helm of the Saints program, Delabar led the women to a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) tournament and regular season championship. It was also the first time in the history of the program that they received a bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament. In 2002, Delabar took over the Maryville men's soccer program and coached them to a 33-73-6 (.321) record in six seasons. As a student-athlete at Quincy University, Delabar earned All-American honors at goalkeeper, while also helping lead the Hawks to three National Championships. He graduated from Quincy in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in History. Upon graduating, Delabar extended his playing career to the professional level with both the New York Cosmos and the St. Louis Steamers. In 1989, Delabar was inducted into the Quincy University Athletic Hall of Fame, and more recently he was inducted into the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Soccer Hall of Fame. In the off-season Delabar acts as director of the Maryville Saints Soccer Camps, while also holding a separate goalkeeper's camp. Delabar is a Physical Education teacher at South Middle School in the Fort Zumwalt School District. He and his wife, Alicia, have three children – Mike, Amanda and Anna. Joel RoschnafskyAssistant CoachJoel Roschnafsky begins his fifth year as an assistant coach with the women's soccer team and his sixth year overall with the Saints soccer program. Roschnafsky was a three-year starter for the Saints and was a member of the 1998 St. Louis Intercollegiate Conference (SLIAC) championship team. He was named Second-team All-SLIAC in 1998 and Honorable Mention All-SLIAC in 1999. He graduated with honors with a master's degree in Physical Therapy. In addition to coaching at Maryville, Roschnafsky serves as a staff coach for Stop the Shot goalkeeper camps and as a staff coach for the Maryville University Saints soccer camps. Roschnafsky holds a United States Soccer Federation "D" License. He currently serves as the Clinical Director of PRORehab-Des Peres in resides in Webster Groves, Mo.
Jim NischbachJim Nischbach enters his first year as assistant coach with the Maryville University women's soccer team after serving as the assistant coach for the men's squad for the past seven years. He previously served as an assistant coach for the Missouri Premier Soccer Club from 2006-08. Nischbach was a four-year starter at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, an NCAA Division I program. He served as team captain his senior year and ranks eighth on SIU-E's career scoring list with 32 goals and 19 assists. He graduated with a degree in advertising and marketing. Nischbach holds a United States Soccer Federation "F" license. He currently is employed at Afni Insurance Services in St. Charles, Mo. Jim and wife Shelly, have two children, Allie and Devan. |
