Women's Golf Opens Fall Slate at Home Invitational

ST. LOUIS—The Maryville University women's golf team under first-year head coach Kim Hodge, opens its 2010 fall slate Thursday at its home invitational at Aberdeen Golf Club.

The six-team field features Lindenwood University, Maryville, McKendree University, Missouri Baptist University, Rend Lake Community College and Washington University of St. Louis.

Lindenwood has won the team title at four of the last eight Maryville Invitationals and has had three individuals win medalist honors.

The Saints' 2010-11 roster features five returners from the team that finished seventh out of 12 teams at the 2010 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Championships and one newcomer.

Junior Kayla Eckelkamp (Washington, Mo.) tied the invite record with her 36-hole score of 150 at the fall 2008 Invitational.
