Thirty-Six Maryville Student-Athletes Named DII ADA Academic Achievement Award Winners

CLEVELAND—The Division II Athletics Directors Association (DII ADA) announced that 36 Maryville University student-athletes were named DII ADA Academic Achievement Award winners, the national office announced today.

"Maryville is proud of the continued academic excellence of our student-athletes," said Director of Athletics, Tony Duckworth.

The Academic Achievement Awards is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level.

Ninety-two institutions sent in nominations which equates to a total of 3,022 student-athletes being honored with this award.

Maryville was one of six Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) schools to receive this honor. Bellarmine, Drury, Indianapolis, Northern Kentucky and Rockhurst rounded out the GLVC contingent.

To be eligible for this award, a student-athlete must:
-Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
-Have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work
-Have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year
