Hodge Named Head Women's Golf Coach

ST. LOUIS—Maryville University Director of Athletics, Tony Duckworth, announced today that Kim Hodge has been named as the new head women's golf coach.

"I am excited that Kim Hodge is joining Saints nation," said Duckworth. "We were looking for a coach who is going to be a quality mentor to our student-athletes while providing a positive student-athlete experience for our women's golfers. Our women's golf program is poised to continue succeeding and it was important to identity a coach who could teach the game of golf to our young talented team while building on last year's successes. We have found that person in Coach Hodge. Her background as a former intercollegiate student-athlete and her experience as a teaching professional will serve our women's golf team well."

Hodge concurrently serves as a teaching professional at the Golf Body Performance Center in St. Louis and brings over 16 years of experience. She has served as the assistant golf professional at a variety of courses in Missouri and Illinois, most recently with Bellerive Country Club.

Hodge was a four-year member of the women's golf team at Northern Illinois University (NCAA Division I) where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Sports Business.

She was inducted into NIU's Golf Wall of Fame in 2000 and the Waukegan Sports Hall of Fame in Waukegan, Ill. in 2008.

"I am thrilled to have been selected as the new women's golf coach at Maryville University," said Hodge. "The women's program has established themselves as a fierce competitor in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. We have a strong team both on the course and in the classroom along with a great freshman recruiting class. It's truly an honor to represent Maryville University and its student-athletes."
