Saints Fall to Gorloks

ST. LOUIS-- The Maryville University men's tennis team fell 7-2 to Webster University Sunday.

Freshman Jonas Skold (Linkoping, Sweden) won 6-1 and 6-0 at No. 1 singles and combined with classmate Ryan Williams (Oakville, Mo.) for an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles.

Williams lost 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 singles and sophomore Patrick Kroener (Wildwood, Mo.) fell 6-2, 6- and 10-4 at No. 3 singles.

Freshman Andy Tipton (Quincy, Ill.) and senior Tyler Saxton (Green Bay, Wis.) both lost 6-0 and 6-0 at No. 4 and No. 6 singles, respectively.

Kroener and Tipton fell 8-2 at No. 2 doubles while junior Matt Murray (Potsdam, N.Y.) and Saxton lost 8-1 at the No. 3 spot.

The Saints travel to Lebanon, Ill. Saturday in a match against McKendree University at 2 p.m.
