Scott Named Second-Team Academic All-District

ST. LOUIS—Maryville University senior men's soccer player Cory Scott (Hannibal, Mo.) was named to the Academic All-District Second-team by ESPN The Magazine and CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America).

The actuarial science major has a 4.0 cumulative GPA and was one of 22 players named Academic All-District in District Seven.

"Cory has a very strong GPA in one of the most demanding majors," said head coach Todd Wallace. "He has always expected the best and this is a great honor for him."

Scott is tied for second in games played (72) on Maryville's list of career leaders, ranks third in assists (14), seventh in points (36) and eighth in goals (11).

He also plays golf for the Saints.
