Women's Golf Tied for Fifth after Day One of Triton Invitational, Set Another Program Best

 
MADISON, Ill.—The Maryville University women's golf team is tied for fifth in the 22-team field at the Triton Invitational with its score of 319 which sets a new program best.

Southern Indiana leads all teams with its score of 312. Jess Dooley, of Southern Indiana, leads all individuals with her 72.

Sophomore Kayla Eckelkamp (Washington, Mo.) was the top Saints finisher with her score of 75 and is in third place.

Classmate Samantha Keller (Ballwin, Mo.) finished two strokes back and is tied for eighth place.

Freshmen Kristin Bayless (Sparta, Ill.) and Kristen Montag (Nora Springs, Iowa) shot an 82 and 85, respectively.

Classmate Mycah Hudson (Herrin, Ill.) rounded out Maryville's competitors with a 90.

The second round concludes tomorrow at Gateway Golf Links.
