Haff and Travis Account for Maryville's Points in Fall Season Finale

ST. LOUIS-- In its fall season finale, the Maryville University women's tennis team fell 6-3 to non-conference Stephens College Saturday.

Freshmen Erinne Haff (Jackson, Mo.) and Chelsea Travis (Ballwin, Mo.) accounted for all three of Maryville's points with their victories in singles competition and their doubles match.

Travis won her No. 1 singles match, 6-1, 2-6, 10-6 and Haff won both sets at the No. 2 spot 6-1.

They later combined for a 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles.

Senior Beth Nunn (St. Charles, Mo.) and sophomore Anne Kilian (Crystal City, Mo.) both fell 6-0 and 6-0 at No. 3 and 4 singles, respectively.

Sophomore Karen Schwarm (Vandalia, Ill.) and junior Anna Hindelang (Grafton, Ill.) rounded out the Saints competition in singles play. Schwarm lost 6-1 and 6-1 at No. 5 and Hindelang 6-3 and 6-0 at No. 6.

Kilian and Nunn fell 8-2 at No. 2 doubles and Schwarm and Hindelange 8-1 at the No. 3 spot.
